I have been involved in pastoral ministry for over ten years and there is nothing I would rather do. I love it! Through the vision and support of my friend and mentor Pastor Tim May, I was blessed with the opportunity to be a youth pastor and then a church plant pastor. In April of 2009, Frederick County Foursquare Church was planted out of theBridge, A Foursquare Community Church, and I have been the Senior Pastor at FCFC since that first Sunday over six years ago.
I have been married for twenty-two years to the love of my life, Julie and together we are raising two beautiful daughters. The neat thing that I have enjoyed about ministry in our family is that we do ministry as a family, together. My wife and our girls are just as active at FCFC as I am and it is just awesome!
I am a bi-vocational pastor so when I am not serving at FCFC I am working as an IT Professional. There are many things that I enjoy outside of my vocation and ministry such as playing video games, watching football, fly fishing and Hunting. Hunting is a fairly new experience for me and what rocked my world was how close I felt to God while sitting in the woods. It has become a time that I both enjoy and cherish.
My philosophy of ministry is fairly simple. I believe that we enjoy and know God best through relationship with Him not through some legalistic, religious experience. So, I believe the best way to minister to people and introduce them to God is through his love and relationship. Why? Because that is how I met Him.
I look forward to meeting you one day and I hope you will come and visit FCFC one Sunday soon.
May God bless you and your family!
I have been married to Donnie, the love of my heart since 1993! We were blessed with 2 daughters, Karli our aspiring Chef and Brookie, our social butterfly! Life is never dull with 2 teens in our home and a 35lb pooch that thinks it’s a lapdog! Returning to work after experiencing the privilege of being a stay-at-home Mom for the past 17 years was unexpected, but the Lord clearly designed this for me as a ‘new season.’ (He’s always stretching us, isn’t He?)
Several years ago, Donnie & I visited a church in Charles Town, WV (theBridge) with our girls. Not long after we started attending, Susan (the Pastors wife) asked me if we’d like to come to their Home Group on a Sunday evening. Little did I know at the time, that simple – innocent question ended up changing our lives! It was during those years under Pastor Tim & Susan’s ministry and friendship that this girl was healed, restored and set free to walk in the path that God had planned for me all along! I could never dream up what the Lord has allowed me the privilege of doing in serving His people.
Now, we GET TO love on and Pastor those that God places within our ministry! What a JOY to be given the opportunity to walk alongside of them as they live out their stories!
My ‘growing up’ years would be the proving grounds for ministry. Thru all of ‘it’ I came to realize, thankfully, my identity comes from my Savior Jesus. Period. Due to His very present presence directing me thru every step – I can stand before you and tell you first hand that He IS good, He IS loving and He IS FAITHFUL. He has given me a deep desire to share these truths with other women. Jesus is real and relational. He loves without regard to our ‘warts’ or our feelings of inadequacy. He doesn’t want us to just exist but wants us to flourish in THIS lifetime! Can you imagine Jesus actually delights in you? He does! His word says so!!! Zephaniah 3:17NLT
OH! In case you were wondering what I do in my free-time (hehehehe…) I love to can (preserve) fresh, in-season fruits and vege’s as well as kayak with my Donnie on the beautiful waters of the Shenandoah river and its tributaries!
Hope your day is lovely! Warm Fuzzies, Jul
I have supported and served in youth ministries for over 15 years. I serve Frederick County Foursquare Church (FCFC) as a Children’s Church teacher on Sunday mornings and as the 6th to 12th grade Lighthouse Youth Group Pastor which meets on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
I have attended FCFC since it was planted in 2009 from the Bridge Foursquare Community Church where my wife Carmen and I attended and served on the youth group leadership team.
My wife and I have three grown children and two grandchildren.
I consider myself a kid with adult tendencies. I am bi-vocational in the field of Information Assurance and support the IT missions of the US Coast Guard. I also enjoy creative hobbies like playing bass guitar, working on my cars, and building Lego creations.
My vision for serving youth is to help youth see beyond themselves and guide them in the ways and principles to fulfill God’s plan for their lives.
I am a stay at home wife that to the best of my abilities provides a loving and supportive environment for my husband and family. I am also an excellent cook that prepares home cooked dinners for my husband of 20 years.
I am currently serving as the Children’s Church Director of FCFC since 2009. I have had the unbelievable privilege of being blessed by the company of young ones for over 19 years. I have served with children and teens at New Life Foursquare Church in Frederick Maryland, the Bridge Foursquare Community Church in Charles Town West Virginia, and now at FCFC. My partner and co-conspirator in all things great and small has been my husband, Ron.
I love raw fish and double portions of meat! I am gluten intolerant, however, I still am able to smile and find some fulfillment in life, for God has blessed me to be a carnivore and not a vegetarian.
I have three awesome adult children and two grandchildren. For I have been blessed with the joys and life lessons to prove it!
My vision statement is “To Reach & Teach children about the unconditional Love of God the Father, the Sacrifice of Jesus, and the Power of the Holy Spirit.”
Oh Yeah, my favorite sayings are; “Dunn a nna nana, dunna a nna nana…BATMAN”, “Go with the Flow”, and “That the LORD’s will be done!” I also have an extensive knowledge of Biblical trivia, Comic book Trivia, a collection of GI Joe military outfits and dolls, LEGOs, and all things shiny and silver (read as jewelry).
